Ahmed Elmokadem is a scientist and educator with a background in mathematics, quantitative modeling, scientific computing, and university-level teaching. He earned his PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Connecticut and has spent his career applying mathematical and computational methods to complex scientific problems.

He has taught undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and practicing scientists in academic and professional settings. Across these settings, his teaching emphasizes understanding why a method works, recognizing patterns, and developing a systematic approach to solving unfamiliar problems.

Teaching Approach

Reasoning Before Memorization

Students should understand why a solution works rather than simply memorize a collection of tricks.

Formulas and shortcuts are useful, but they become much more powerful when students understand the mathematical ideas behind them. AEAcademy Prep emphasizes recognizing the structure of a problem and choosing an appropriate approach.
